SAN DIEGO, CA – Mayor Bob Filner appears to still be using up those personal days.

Many expected him to return to work Tuesday, but he was a no-show at San Diego City Hall. But the building was not empty. Closed-door talks are said to be going on about Filner’s future in politics.

The Democratic National Committee has an idea.

Members are calling for him to resign and say they plan to vote on it this week.

In case you’re counting, 17 women have publicly accused Filner of sexual harassment.

He has supporters, though, who are calling for due process.

Until then, it looks like the DNC is just going to do away with him.
