HOUSTON, TX – Disaster…You never know when it will hit. But being prepared can make those situations just a little less stressful.

Houston Habitat for Humanity and State Farm Insurance teamed up to get the message across to kids at the Cossaboom YMCA Summer Camp.

Kerry Craft with Habitat for Humanity International explained, “We want kids to be aware that disasters can happen at any time and can be of all natures. In particular today we talked about the disasters that are common to our general area.”

Something adults need to think about as well.

“No matter what the disaster, you have to have a plan. Having a plan can save your life.”

Let’s just hope we don’t experience any disasters anytime soon.
