GREENWOOD, SC – A penny for your thoughts? But a bunch of quarters can get you much, much more! South Carolina cops claim 63-year-old Larry Collum, paid a prostitute with a roll of quarters, in exchange for a roll in the hay (or in this case) his car.

Greenwood police first noticed Collum cruising in his SUV, very slowly down the street. Their suspicions that something was up were validated when they noticed 41-year-old Rhonda Kelley, who cops coined as a “known prostitute”, was the passenger. The odd couple were stopped and questioned.

Initially, Collum told officers he was just giving Kelley a ride home, but then there was a change in his story when he admitted to having sex with her for 10 dollars’ worth of quarters.

Collum was taken to lock-up where cops claim he told them he made, “a serious error in judgment” on the cheap date. He was charged with solicitation of prostitution and Kelley was booked on prostitution charges.

In the end, both got rolled by the cops who showed them no quarter for what they did and to us, that makes a lot of cents.
