LINDEN, NJ – A New Jersey deli owner was boiling mad when an armed robber walked into his store demanding cash.

Despite having a gun pointed at him, the owner quickly ran to the back and grabbed the first thing he could to protect himself; a metal pot.

He then dipped it in hot oil boiling at 400 degrees.

In the surveillance footage from the store you can see as soon as the oil hits the suspect he drops the cash register and runs off.

After wiping up most of the splattered oil and calling police, this brave father of three was back behind the counter once again.

Local hospitals have even been put on alert to watch out for a man coming in with burns.
