WASHINGTON, DC -It’s said, “If you want a friend in D.C., get a dog.”  We’re not sure if President Obama believes that or not but he just got another friend.

Meet Sunny.  She’s a 1-year-old Portuguese Water Dog who hails from the state of Michigan. Apparently, the First Family thought the First Dog needed a playmate, so they shelled out 2 grand for this bouncy, beautiful girl.

When she’s not playing with her big bro Bo, she’ll be competing for lap time with the First Lady who says, “Oh, this is exactly what he does at home. He tries to beat Malia and Sasha to my lap.”

To show they’re not anti-shelter dogs, the Obama’s plan to make a donation to the Washington Humane Society.

Inquiring minds wonder if The White House will soon be ‘littered’ with puppies? Doubtful since Bo is allegedly neutered.

It’s nice to see Bo and Sunny getting along already. Maybe their dad could try that with Congress.
