Looks like only a quarter of this year’s ACT test-takers passed all four sections of the exam.
With more students taking the exam, the standards of the test have been raised, and now it’s looking like maybe a lot of high school grads might not be ready for life after high school.
Most kids are able to pass the English portion, but it’s the science part that’s giving a lot of kids some trouble.
Not all states are required to take the ACT. Texas is one of the non-required states, although a lot of kids take the test anyway.
Maybe kids are too focused and nervous about taking standardized tests and it’s preventing them from being engaged in actually learning in the classroom?
You never know.
