CITRUS COUNTY, FL – Every fisherman has a fish tale to tell. Usually, they involve a guy reeling in some monstrosity from the deep. This time, a Florida fisherman is the catch of the day!
Steve Moumouris, 51, was alone in his 16-foot boat when a storm rolled in.
He was tossed into the Gulf of Mexico without a life-jacket.
Now, usually a story like this has a very sad ending, but Moumouris was determined to stay afloat.
He survived by treading water for 24 hours.
His nightmare came to an end when a family out scalloping spotted him, and pulled him to safety.
Steve’s wife called the rescue a ‘miracle.’
We call it one hell of a fish tale!
