Here’s one way to handle things when someone’s texting while driving. Dashcam video from Russia shows a man get out of his car, open another driver’s car door, reach for her cell phone and smash it to the ground.
Now I’m not saying to do that, but seriously when are people going to get the message…DON’T TEXT AND DRIVE.
Here are some statistics on why you should put your cell phone down…
About 6,000 deaths and a half a million injuries are caused by distracted drivers or texting.
5 seconds is the average time your eyes look at text. If you’re traveling at 55 mph that’s enough time to cover a football field and forever change someone’s life.
Look at this text a University of Northern Colorado was sending when he drifted into oncoming traffic, and was killed. This was the last thing his heartbroken parents had to see of their son.
If that doesn’t get through to you watch part of Werner Herzog’s heart wrenching documentary.
Don’t cause this hurt for yourself or someone else. Please put your phone down.
And that’s today’s helping of the Online Dish with Maggie.
