ORLANDO, FL – Orange County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Jason Forgey is used to catching criminals in Florida. But now he has landed himself the biggest catch in his lifetime, an over 730 pound gator.

Forgey says him and some buddies were out on the Saint Johns River for hours, and after two encounters they finally got all 13 feet and 737 pounds of him.

By the way if Deputy Forgey’s name rings a bell? He was one of the police investigators who testified in the Casey Anthony trial.

He was the K-9 handler who allegedly sniffed out the human remains of Anthony’s daughter cable in her car trunk.

Guess you could say he’s good at sniffing out prey both humans and reptiles.
