floodLYONS, CO – First the state of Colorado was dealing with massive wildfires, and now it’s dealing with a massive flood.

Storms have swept across the Boulder area causing a flood unlike anything they’ve ever seen. There’s been dramatic scenes all over the area like residents and pets evacuating, washed out roads in Jefferson County and much more.

In Lyons, officials are referring to this in biblical proportions; as the 500 year flood.

The governor has requested assistance from FEMA.

And though it’s too early to tell the magnitude of it all, any flood referred to as a ‘historic flood’ is unfortunately bound to have a ‘historic outcome.’
