RENO, NV – Marianne Theresa Johnson-Reddick of Reno, Nevada wasn’t a celebrity; so when she died on August 30th her death didn’t make headlines, but her obituary did.
The death notice, published in the Reno Gazette Journal, was allegedly written by her children, but it’s no eulogy. It starts out:
‘She is survived by 6 of her 8 children whom she spent her lifetime torturing in every possible way. While she neglected and abused her small children, she refused to allow anyone else to care or show compassion towards them.’
Makes you think of Mommie Dearest, huh?
While the obituary doesn’t mention any type of hangers it goes on to say”
‘Everyone she met, adult or child was tortured by her cruelty and exposure to violence, criminal activity, vulgarity and hatred of the gentle or kind human spirit.’
Now, if you’ve gotten the impression her children won’t miss her — well, that’s a bit of an understatement as they proclaim:
‘…we celebrate her passing from this earth and hope she lives in the afterlife reliving each gesture of violence, cruelty and shame that she delivered on her children.’
Now it’s one thing to speak ill of the dead but Johnson-Reddick isn’t around to defend herself so this is definitely a one-sided exchange.
The newspaper says they’re investigating the circumstances surrounding the placement of the notice, that’s double talk for they want to make sure it’s not a hoax.
Sadly either way, whoever wrote the obituary has the makings for a best-selling book.
