duckKAOHSIUNG CITY, TAIWAN – This rubber ducky is doing more than just sprucing up bath time. He’s drawing in about half a million people to a Taiwan harbor in Kaohsiung City. All this, despite threats of Typhoon Usagi, no less.

It’s four years in the making. The city’s love affair with the inflatable duck started in 2009. When they found out it was headed to Hong Kong, citizens thought it was about ducking time the duck visited them.

Kaohsiung City’s mayor even sent the duck’s people a letter. Obviously it worked. The duck will hang out in Kaohsiung City until late October, before it floats on to other Taiwanese cities.

Impressive. Guess this proves bigger is better.
