Have you ever pictured how you would quit your job, and what you would tell your boss? Well, sometimes words just aren’t enough! That was the case for one video producer named Marina Shifrin. Instead of putting in a resignation letter she decided to submit a video.
Marian, 25, who worked for an animation company, snuck into the office at 4:30am to make what would be her last video in that place.
While dancing around to Kanye West’s song “Gone” she tells her story though the overlaying messages on the screen.
“For almost two years I’ve sacrificed my relationships, time and energy for this job and my boss only cares about quantity and how many views each video gets,” she wrote.
“So I figured I’d make ONE video of my own …
“Oh and to let my boss know I QUIT”
She posted the video on YouTube with a statement explaining why she thought it was more important to focus on the quality of the content rather than the quantity. There’s also a link to her personal website, good idea since she won’t be heading back to the office anytime soon.
No word on what employers said about the video but Marina is all the buzz on social media. Something tells me she’s going to end up way better off. Kuddos to her, for having the guts to do something we all wish we could.
And that’s today’s helping of The Online Dish with Maggie.
