CHATTANOOGA, TN – You’ve heard the saying ‘you can do anything you set your mind to.’ Courtney Case is proof of that, despite what she’s facing.

At just 24-years-old, she was diagnosed with a form of hereditary heart disease, a disease that’s come close to killing her numerous times.

“Four months ago I got told that my heart doesn’t work completely, and they told me that I didn’t have much longer to live,” Case said.

But she didn’t take the news as a death sentence.

“I had a heart surgery that was experimental to try and fix it. They said to just follow my body and see where it goes and gave me another two years,” Case continued.

Now she’s training her body. Her goal is to compete in her first bodybuilding competition next year.

As for her health, Courtney says she’s on the list for a heart transplant. But in the meantime, she’s not just setting her mind to reach her bodybuilding goal, she’s putting her heart into it, too!
