KINGWOOD, TX – Many criminals are violent, but some of them are also dumb. The Houston Police Department released pictures of one of the two suspects who held up customers at gunpoint at a mall in Kingwood.

How did they get the pictures?

The suspect himself tried to withdraw money from an ATM with his victim’s stolen card.

“We had two recent robberies in the Kingwood area,” said HPD Captain Matthew May. “Both of them happened outside of local eateries at about 10:40 at night. Two African-American males in their late teens or early twenties approached victims outside of the eateries.”

The first incident occurred on September 19th. The thugs left Russo’s New York Pizzeria with a wallet and a laptop. But they were still hungry.  So they came back to Kingwood Town Center and, on September 25th, tried McDonald’s. This time they stole a bunch of cellphones. In between the assaults, the suspects went to a nearby bank to get their pictures taken.

“We really want to have these suspects arrested as soon as possible and get them off the streets,” said Captain May.

Once again: if you know the man on this picture, do not play Superman – he’s armed. Call the police or Crime Stoppers: there’s a reward and you can help keep our communities safe.
