fatalHOUSTON, TX – A wrong-way driver was wrong on so many levels. One person is dead and another injured after police say the same driver was involved in two wrecks.

It happened along the eastbound exit ramp of the Katy Freeway at North Durham.

Houston police say 26-year-old Brittini Kressin was behind the wheel of a Chevy Cavalier. She was reportedly speeding head-on towards a Toyota Corolla.

“In a last-ditch attempt to evade collision, the driver of this Toyota Corolla tried, I guess, to change lanes but was unable to do so at the last second,” said Sgt. Javier Tapia with Houston Police Department.

HPD says the Cavalier crashed into the passenger side of the Corolla. The female passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital. The male driver wasn’t injured.

That’s the worst of it, but we’re still not done. Right after the fatal wreck, a motorcyclist slammed into the Cavalier.

“That particular motorcycle rider was ejected upon crashing with that particular vehicle and he sustained a broken leg upon being transported to the hospital,” said Tapia.

A trail of death and debris, and for what? Kressin is now facing intoxicated manslaughter charges.
