refsFAIRFIELD, AL – Hard-working ladies are now on the field calling the shots and making history.

Four lady refs called the game between Miles College and Lane College in Alabama Thursday night–the first time that’s ever happened for an NCAA football game.

One of the refs, head linesman Yvonda Lewis, is from Houston. She was also the first woman to officiate in a SWAC game in 2009.

Finally, prancing around in tiny outfits is NOT the only role for women at a football game.

But we’re calling delay of game for taking this long to get there.
