milkWASHINGTON, D.C. – There’s a battle brewing on Capitol Hill (weird, we know).

This one is over renewing the nation’s Farm Bill, and the big divide is over funding for food stamps. But that’s a different issue.

If the House and Senate don’t come to an agreement, dairy supports will expire at the end of the year. That means soaring milk prices.

Eight dollars a gallon is the rumored price tag.

This would hurt American families, for sure. But as we’ve seen time and time again, compromise is not Congress’ strong point.
