It never fails, every year some jerk snatches your pumpkin or smashes it in the street. Well one Washington D.C., mom has a message for the jerk who jacked her 2-year-old son, Tommy’s lantern.

To shame the thief, 33-year-old stay-at-home mom, Becky, made this cardboard sign. It reads:

“To the person who stole my son’s pumpkin:

Thank you for the life lesson. This will teach him that sometimes people are mean for no reason and you have to just brush it off.

Because my son is 2-yrs-old and cannot read this sign, I will add:

You are an a‐‐‐‐‐‐‐.”

Since Becky posted the note on Facebook her maternal rage has gone viral. Becky says despite her son only being two, he still understood what happened and was very upset.

The sign has gotten mixed reactions. I just hope the thieves come back for the rest of the pumpkins and find this “treat” of a sign amidst their “trick”. Who knows maybe this will carve some light into their mean souls.

And that’s today’s helping of The Online Dish with Maggie.
