NEW YORK, NY – Remember the meteor that exploded over Russia back in February?

It caused a big mess and hurt hundreds of people. The worst part was no one knew it was coming.

Astronauts say that’s unacceptable, and the United Nations agrees.

The General Assembly met with space folk to come up with a defense plan.

The first step was to set up an International Asteroid Warning Group.

Then comes the cool part: If they detect a threatening space rock, they will put together a mission to launch a spacecraft into the rock and deflect it from its course.
