securityA security guard making his rounds won’t get to finish them in north Houston. Police say he was checking on some suspicious-looking men at an apartment complex on Casa Grande and Buckle, when one of the men decided to shoot him.

“Right around the time he was shot, someone set a fire in a vacant apartment. We don’t know if they’re related at this time but it appears that they are,” said Sgt. Mark Holbrook with the Houston Police Department.

HPD says the suspects got away, and the security guard later died at Ben Taub Hospital.

Hopefully this story will end soon with someone behind bars.
