LENEXA, KS – A Lenexa, Kansas man is set to complete 52 marathons in less than 52 weeks.  Officer Bob Schluben will have ran his  final race on November 24.
“People say, well how many marathons have you run? And they don’t believe me!”  said Schluben. Schluben says he started the challenge to raise awareness for the Sunflower House, a Kansas organization that helps abused kids.

Hearing about his story reminded us of another extreme runner.  Over the summer, Annette Fredskov finished 366 marathons in 365 days.  As if that`s not impressive enough, Fredskov has multiple sclerosis! On Fredskov’s website, she said she took on the challenge because she was curious about human limitations. The Danish athlete charged past all previous records with her, ” feet.”
