LONDON, ENGLAND – When Susan Boyle showed up on “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2009 it was clear she was no public speaker.
Then, she opened her mouth and belted out those unforgettable notes, opening our hearts and reminding us all that a book should not be judged by it’s awkward, cat-loving cover.

Now Susan’s hoping to open some eyes, telling a British newspaper she was diagnosed with a developmental disorder known as Asperger’s syndrome last year.

Susan had been told she had brain damage as a child, so she says the diagnosis came as a relief because it gives her a, “clearer understanding of what’s wrong.”

Asperger’s can cause poor social skills, clumsiness, and the ability to focus like a laser on specific interests.

Now that the news is out in the open maybe Susan can spend more time focusing on her career, and less time worrying about the nay-sayers!
