BOSTON, MA – It was a nightmare. But for James Costello, the tragedy seems to have miraculously given way to a dream come true.

The 31-year-old Boston marathon survivor, who suffered burns so severe that he needed pig skin grafts, has reason to believe in fate. Eight months after the bombing, he’s now engaged to the woman he calls his best friend (who also happens to have been his rehab nurse!).

Costello proposed to Krista D’Agostino while on an all-expenses paid heroes cruise. He later said on Facebook that he now knows he was involved in the Boston tragedy so that he could meet … “the love of his life.”
