ORANGE COUNTY, CA – 7-year-old Mady O’Brien of Orange County, CA, lost her dog Meko on a family vacation in Arizona.
In the meantime she was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
After an intense surgery, almost 30 chemo and radiation treatments and countless hospital visits, Mady struggled to walk again.
Then a month ago, Mady’s mom got a call from the Humane Society. Meko turned up on the streets of Prescott, AZ. They were able to trace him back to them thanks to a microchip.
Now Meko is back by Mady’s side, during a time when she can really use a best friend.
