TARRANT COUNTY, TX – There’s a new effort to put a teenage drunk driver behind bars.
You might recall 16-year-old Ethan Couch. He was the driver in a crash that killed four people in Tarrant County this past summer. Police say Couch’s blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit.
His sentence 10 years’ probation, with no road for appeal.
But that’s not enough for the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office, who’s now turning the attention on justice for two teens severely injured in the crash.
The maximum sentence Ethan Couch faces is three years behind bars.
