Houston’s first new addition of 2014 arrived at 12:14 a.m.  The Alvarado family of north Houston welcomed their daughter Allison to Houston, and the world.

Mom Victoria went into labor at Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women at around 6 Tuesday evening.  A little over six hours later Allison Athena Alvarado was born weighing in at 7 lb, 14 oz.

Proud daddy Albert picked the name ‘Allison,’ and mama chose middle name ‘Athena” after the Greek goddess of wisdom, strength and courage.

Congratulations mom and dad, and happy birthday and new year to you baby Allison.  Way to make your first 15 minutes, 15 minutes of fame!  You’re on a roll kid!
