Toronto Mayor Rob Ford files nomination papers for re-election

TORONTO, CANADA – Introducing Toronto, Canada mayor, Rob Ford, everybody! You may know the guy as the public official who admitted to using crack. And, because that’s what you want in a city leader, Ford is giving the people what they want and running for re-election.

He tweeted this pic of himself Thursday morning submitting the goods:

This makes him the first candidate in the running; way to set the bar high Mayor!

He also tweeted out a message for everyone to go vote for him on October 27.

And, hey, an approval rating higher than President Obama’s at 42% among Toronto’s voters definitely can’t hurt.

Mayor Ford is proving perseverance can get him through even the toughest of situations. Guess we’ll see if voters think the same thing.
