HOUSTON, TX – Houston police say some pit bulls attacked and killed a woman in southeast Houston overnight.

Neighbors who live near Leonora and Glen Prairie say the dogs are actually regulars in the neighborhood. But, a deadly attack like this one is a first.

“Animal control needs to come out here a lot more, because you got a whole lot of feral pit bulls and dogs that run around these bayous. And look what incident happened right here, right in front of my home. That’s not cool,” said one resident.

HPD says the dogs attacked three people in total. One woman was taken to the hospital and a man got treatment at the scene.

Animal control has one dog in custody. But, the other four-legged suspects are M.I.A.

In the meantime, with school kicking off after the long holiday…be safe out there.
