Woman falls from horse, wakes up with Scottish accent

ONTARIO, CANADA – A Canadian woman fell from a horse and woke up with a Scottish accent.

The official diagnosis is foreign accent syndrome. It’s a rare condition linked with head injuries, and it may last for life.  Since the 2008 fall, Sharon Campbell-Rayment has learned that her family emigrated from Scotland more than a century ago. She’s now writing a book.
