SPOKANE, WA – They can dance. They can do tricks. But what a Chihuahua really loves to do is drive!

Seriously. Look up “Chihuahua drives car” on YouTube.

As you watch the video, you’ll probably say to yourself, ‘Gee, I hope I don’t run into one of those drivers on my commute!’

That’s exactly what happened one woman in Spokane, Washington.

Tabitha Ormachea says after working like a dog all day, she ran into a hairy situation on the way home.

“Out of nowhere, I had looked at all the lights, there’s no cars, I reach down, and that’s when I got hit,” said Ormachea, “and when I looked up, there was nobody in the car. Just a little Chihuahua up on the steering wheel peeking over looking at me.”

Ay Chihuahua!

“I was shocked. I didn’t know if I was crazy, that there was just this little dog taking a joy ride!”

Bingo! Or should we say, Toby!

So how did little Toby get his paws on the steering wheel of a car? His owner, Jason Martinez, explains, “I didn’t know what to think. Somebody just ran into the store and goes, ‘anyone have a brown car?’ and I was like, “yeah, why?'”

“He must have knocked it out of gear, and the car rolled out, bumped another car,” said Martinez.

You’ll be glad to know that no animals or humans were harmed in this story, but you can bet Toby is in the dog house!
