ROSENBERG, TX – The internet is littered with all kinds of crazy dash cam videos; car accidents, meteors, high speed chases. Here’s one that will make you smile, Rosenberg police Sergeant Ariel Soltura had just completed a routine traffic stop when he spotted a boy, on his own, tossing a football around by himself.

Soltura says, “You can tell he was actually alone and that he was actually playing a game in his own mind and he was doing all these passes and plays, and so really I thought that, ya know I wanted to put a little positivity in his life and so it was a blessing I was able to do that.”

It’s great to see such an inspiring act from your everyday neighborhood cop, especially with so much negativity associated with police in this day and age.

Soltura added, “Our entire philosophy is policing with the community, getting out there and making sure that we’re involved in a positive way, so that way we can gain the cooperation of our citizens.”

If there’s one way to reach the community, it’s being involved in the community.  Great catch by the sergeant!
