ST. THOMAS, VIRGIN ISLANDS – Passengers on board Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas ship set out for an island voyage of a lifetime. Instead, they’re going nowhere fast.

The ship set sail from New Jersey on January 21st. Now, it’s docked off the Virgin Islands, after more than 300,000 people on board struck with illness, the 10-day trip being cut short.

The cruise line says presently there’s no known cause for the outbreak, apologizing for the disruption.

But we all know, when things go wrong during travels, sometimes “sorry” just doesn’t cut it.
