FORT WORTH, TX – They’re stars of a hit reality TV show. They’ve got best-selling books and merchandise out the wazoo. Now, Duck Dynasty is expanding their empire to cars — as in NASCAR! Call it a match made in redneck heaven, y’all.

Duck Dynasty’s Duck Commander brand is the title sponsor for the Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway.

The April 6th race will be known as the Duck Commander 500.

The Robertson family signed a three-year deal to sponsor the spring race, and you can bet the bearded ones will be a big part of the festivities.

No word on how much the deal is worth, but considering the massive popularity of the show, it’s bound to make both parties happy happy happy.

Now you probably remember the family patriarch, Phil Robertson, was embroiled in a scandal over some homophobic remarks.

Well, NASCAR doesn’t seem to give a duck.

They’re used to stirring up controversy.

Last year, the NRA sponsored the race, and a lot of folks were ‘up in arms’ about it.

However, the Duck Dynasty sponsorship hasn’t ruffled any feathers…yet.

Guess we’ll have to wait ’til April to see if this dynamic duo is all it’s quacked up to be.
