HOUSTON – An action doesn’t come without a consequence. That’s what 48-year-old Camil Matase is learning. He was wanted for the murder of his wife and son. They were found dead in their northwest Harris County home last November.
Matese fled to Romania after the crime, but it’s like they say — you can run, but you can’t hide. Authorities found him and worked out a deal with a Romanian court. They agreed to extradite Matase as long as Texas wouldn’t seek the death penalty against him.
Matase arrived in Houston on Friday and is expected in court on Monday.
Hey may not face death for taking the lives of his family, but if he’s found guilty, he’ll definitely have to face the consequences of his actions.
