ST. LOUIS, MO – A star Saint Louis Blues player who was part of team USA in the Olympics brought back much more from Sochi than just memories of playing on Olympic ice.

David Backes and his wife rescued two of the hundreds of stray dogs that were all around Sochi. They brought them back with them on the 13 hour flight to St. Louis.

Now they’ll live at an animal shelter for 30 days to make sure they’re fit to be adopted.
