SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL – In today’s edition of crazy things happening in Florida, we have a man who is trying to use his weight as a get out of jail free card.

James Olivos was sentenced to five years back in December over a mortgage fraud scheme. He says he needs to be treated for morbid obesity and a variety of other medical issues, including ADHD, and he claims he can’t receive proper treatment in prison.

If prison doctors can care for pregnant women and cancer patients, they can probably handle a little Ritalin and weight loss. And is it just us or does Mr. Olivos not look all that obese anyway?

So far, the judge is unmoved by Olivos’ medical complaints, so it’s looking like he’ll be living life behind bars very soon.

Apparently Olivos forgot a very important rule: Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.
