SEATTLE, WA – As if eating right and staying healthy isn’t hard enough! Costco is recalling nearly 60,000 cases of their freeze-dried fruit snacks because it could be contaminated by salmonella.

The fruit maker, Oregon Freeze Dry, Did a voluntary recall of all their fruit cases marked with a “best by” date between February 14th and March 11th, 2015, and Costco’s posted a letter on their website about the recall, too.

There have been no reports of salmonella poisoning to the FDA as of yet. So, Costco very well may have “smoothied-out” the issue, before it became a really rotten situation.
