Naked tourism becoming a problem at Machu Picchu

MACHU PICCHU, PERU – It is a centuries-old Inca village nestled in the mountains of Peru; a magical place that captivates tourists, and makes them want to drop their pants.

Blame it on the mountain air, or trendy exhibitionists like the creator of My Naked Trip, who has made sight-seeing in the nude an innovation.  But not everyone is amused.

The Peruvian Times says four American tourists were detained earlier this month after striping at the site.  A couple of Canadians and Australians were picked up recently too.

The shame is that it is all leading to some cracking down of Picchu policies.  We guess some streaks are meant to be short.
