BEREA, OH – Every sport requires you to see. For someone who can only see ten percent of what’s in front of him, you would think sports of any kind, especially wrestling would be challenge.

Jessie Gunter is a wrestler for Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio. Gunter finished the NCAA championship in Iowa five and one…good for 3rd place in the country!

He still hopes to win 1st place someday. Talk about blind faith.

For Jessie, life is not all about seeing, but feeling.

“Being legally blind, yes it does…it may hinder a little bit but wrestling is also a big sport with feeling, which is a big key,” he says.

Most would say seeing is believing. In this case, Jessie Gunter’s vision doesn’t require sight.
