NEW YORK, NY – Two CNN producers, Yon Pomrenze, 35, and Connor Fieldman Boals, 26, were arrested for trying to sneak past security at the World Trade Center in New York City in an attempt to report on recent security lapses at the site, police said.

Now according to a spokesperson at CNN the producers were on assignment but “were not asked to sneak onto the WTC site”.

Guess they missed that memo in the assignment.

According to police reports they tried three different times.

But the tipping point came on their third, and final attempt, when they allegedly tried to forcibly push their way through a security check-point.

Yeah, that coup de grace from the producer crew got them cuffed and booked on criminal trespass, obstruction of governmental administration, and disorderly conduct charges.

Port Authority officers say they pair said that if a 16-year-old could get on site, they should also be able to.

If you’ll recall this wise guy kid from Jersey was able to sneak his way up to the needle of the WTC and take a selfie.

News flash producers, this kid at least had the common sense to try this at 4 in the morning, not in the middle of the afternoon.
