DENVER, CO – New brew houses are popping up all over Colorado. And even the governor’s mansion is getting in.
Tap lines were just installed in the executive residence. Now a rotation of three state beers will flow-in during parties. Chalk it up to “economic policy.”
“I think craft beer is about 6% or 7% of the beer that’s consumed in Colorado, and yet it’s 64% of the jobs,” says Governor John Hickenlooper.
Five-thousand Coloradans work in the $800 million-a-year industry. But some drinking problems are brewing.
Sure it could happen anywhere, but it’s worth mentioning that a kindergarten teacher in Denver was arrested for showing up at school half in the bag.
Police say Teresa Berman had been drinking and driving before school (at least she hadn’t just come from the governor’s mansion).
She ended up getting arrested before going into class.
