John Lennon jottings up for auction

LONDON – You would think it is the work of Shel Silverstein — extraordinary creatures and creative, even peculiar sketches and scrawls. But these are from a different famous poet — John Lennon.

After a half a century in the personal archive of a London publisher, Lennon’s jottings and drawings are up for auction. They go back to when he was 23-years-old, and he published a little book full of pictures and prose called “In His Own Right.”
