JACKMAN, ME – Janice Powell and her husband were out for a peaceful snowmobile ride in Maine, when her helmet camera caught a creepy encounter. A moose jumped in front of Bob, and then ran at him to attack.

The Powell’s say this behavior is highly unusual.

“Generally you’ll get behind the moose, follow him for a short distance and the moose will just jump off the trial,” says Bob.

It all could have ended really badly, but bob got to his wife’s ride just in time, and she had a gun. After firing it off into the air, the moose slowly backed off. The Powell’s say the moose was very likely sick.

“That moose was a little mangy and after it left we noticed a lot of blood on the trial,” says Janice.
