GRANDBURY, TX – It was like something right out of a TV drama.

Nearly four decades after Helen Holiday vanished from a small town south of Ft. Worth, the mystery surrendering her disappearance peeked through a shallow Grandbury Lake. Holiday’s bones were found inside her Chevy pickup that had been sitting at the bottom of the lake since 1979.

The recent drought which led to receding waters, helped revive this cold case.
