ELGIN, IL – A former Illinois state rep is facing a bad rap. A really, really bad rap.

A federal grand jury this week indicted Keith Farnham on two counts of possessing child porn. One video is said to involve a six-month-old girl.

Farnham resigned unexpectedly in March after federal agents raided his Elgin home and state office.

Investigators say they obtained several instant message chats. In one exchange, they say he texted that he wished he had access to all vids and pics ever made. And another text asked, “Do you trade? Always looking for good stuff.”

Farnham co-sponsored two bills to toughen penalties on child porn. But court documents seem to show preferred his child porn to include kids between six and eight.

“12 is about as old as i can handle,” he allegedly wrote in one text.

If convicted, you can bet he’ll be handling a lot more than that in prison.
