LAS VEGAS, NV – If you shell out the money to watch a fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, you expect to see a knock-down, drag-out beating between boxers. The gloves were certainly off at the Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana fight Saturday evening, but it was the after-fight-fighting that’s stolen the spotlight.

Officials say fans tried pushing their way into a post-fight news conference, which is when some sort of altercation broke out and 24-people ended up getting hurt.

Other sources say as fans were leaving the arena they mistook a loud noise for gunshots and that’s when a stampede of fans began running into the main casino.

Either way, the bumping and bruising should be left to the guys getting paid big bucks. By the way, the victor by a majority decision was “Money Mayweather.”
