SOUTH GLENS FALLS, NY – Bounce houses are a hit at birthday parties. Nothing like hours of fun bouncing around! But the fun for three kids in New York came to a terrifying halt.

Witnesses took pictures as the bounce house was flung off the ground and more than 50 feet into the air by a wind gust. According to people who witnessed the shocking scene, a girl fell out of the bounce house as it was being lifted off the ground. The two boys weren’t so lucky. About 15 feet in the air, the 5 and 6-year-old boys fell out. One landed on a car, the other on the asphalt. The were both taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Scary moments for sure, but this is by no means an isolated incident. One search on YouTube and you’ll see lots of “bounce house fail” videos showing the houses swept away by the wind.

Who knew bouncy fun could be so scary?!
