HONEA PATH, SC – What started out as a bulletproof vest test, ended up being an IQ test. Either way, they both failed.

A teenage girl is facing jail time after she allegedly shot at a friend wearing a Kevlar vest, but missed the protective garment and killed the man instead. These vests might be bulletproof, but they certainly aren’t idiot proof!

South Carolina cops say 18-year-old Taylor Ann Kelly was asked by 26-year-old Blake Wardell, to shoot a gun into a bulletproof vest he was wearing as part of a test. She fired a hand gun and ended up hitting her friend in an unprotected chest area of the vest. A group of friends tried to give Blake CPR after the shooting, but couldn’t revive him.

Kelly is charged with involuntary manslaughter and can face up to five years in prison for, according to cops, “showing reckless disregard for the safety of others.”

A sad story about young people who ignored this fundamental rule: never point a gun at anything, you don’t intend to kill.
