HOUSTON, TX – 2012 Indycar Champion Ryan Hunter-Reay headed off a plane at Houston Hobby Airport and jumped into a driver’s seat. The speedster’s rolling through town using one of the countries most challenging loops, Interstate 610, only a few days before this Sunday’s Indy 500.

Not only is he here to drive, for Hunter-Reay Houston drives home a special meaning. His mother was treated at MD Anderson when she was fighting cancer.

“We formed a pretty unique bond with MD Anderson going forward, with my charity, racing for cancer, teaming up for the yellow party raising funds in fight against cancer,” said Hunter-Reay.

Hunter-Reay plans to lead the pack at the Honda Grand Prix in Houston this June, and with the job of racing fast cars on Houston streets, it’s truly life in the fast lane.
